The Stussy DC chapter will be releasing two exclusives this Saturday, Feb 13th. This time around the DC chapter pays homage to Washington’s world famous landmarks. This first was inspired by world famous restaurant Ben’s Chili Bowl and the second by some of DC’s most visited buildings and monuments: the White House, Capitol Building, Supreme Court, etc.

Logorama
Logorama, an animated short film by the French collective H5, has been nominated for an Academy Award in the Animated Shorts category.
Logorama is set in a clean Utopian LA, a branded landscape, where even the people are logos: AOL men, Bic men, the cops are Michelin men. Ronald McDonald is a badass with an automatic weapon, Big Boy is a snarky truant. Logorama supplies a dose of popular movie mechanisms: car chases, shoot outs, Tarantino-esque conversations, and curvy models. Cataclysm ensues, that can only be inspired by absurd apocalypse plots rampant in Hollywood today.
Here it is in two parts:

Damien Hirst : “End Of An Era”
“The exhibition takes its title from the central sculpture in the exhibition, a severed bull’s head with golden horns and crowned with a solid gold disc. Suspended in formaldehyde and encased in a golden vitrine, this totemic sculpture acts as a powerful coda to The Golden Calf (2008). End of an Era proffers a sacrificial head, here dismembered from the majestic body of the earlier sculpture. While The Golden Calf symbolized the worshipping of a false idol, with End of an Era (2009) Hirst demystifies the biblical tale and, by extension, debunks his own myth-making,” quoted from press release.
